The Johnston Technique

I have yet to find a term that best fits what I do. So in order to not confuse my techniques with others I've created my own. The Johnston Technique is very effective, creates long term relief, and restores power and body awareness to the client. It is definitely not your typical massage.

The closest technique would be a lymphatic based massage because I look at the body as a fluid system and if that system is not functioning properly then symptoms form. Working on the symptom only creates more. I work on the cause. 

It's similar to kinks in a garden hose. Pressure creates pain and working on those pain areas only creates more pain. The cause is not the kink itself but the thing that is causing the kink to occur...clothing and joint structure! More specifically, the tight elastic bands that are pressing against the superficial skin on the weakest parts of the body: groin, hip, stomach, ribs, chest, and the structure and position of the shoulders.
